Bone Wax is a non absorbable surgical suture which is made of isopropyl palmitate, paraffin and beeswax. It is opaque in color. This suture is accessible in Gamma radiation sterilized form. Bone Wax can be stored for 5 years. Application of this surgical suture can be noticed in thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, dental and maxillary face surgery. Special design of this suture acts as mechanical barrier to promote local haemostasis. It is biochemically inert by nature. It is offered in aluminum foil based packing.
